As the weather is warming up, each day is beginning to open more options when it pertains to clothing. Winter looks can be cute but, personally, I can’t enjoy myself when I can’t feel my toes. Warmer weather signals spring, and the beginning of my birthday season (21, 21!); I can’t help myself from wanting to show up and show out, all while wearing platform shoes. Instagram and Pinterest have been giving me major inspiration lately so I decided to share just five items I am dying to get my hands on.
I am obsessed with these shoes! Since I am only 5’1″ I find myself only wanting to wear high heels. I am also blessed with long legs so I always feel like a model when wearing any sort of heel. My personal style can be described as 2003 Avril Lavigne meets refined glamour, and I think these really fit my aesthetic. The price tag, though, is another story! I found a couple dupes that I will be adding to my collection very soon so I can share with you.
I am so in love with the preppy feel that this Zendaya collection gives off! Seeing Zendaya and Leomie Anderson at the London launch had me beyond ready to get my hands on the specific pieces they wore. This long sleeved bodysuit might seem too hot for spring but I live in Ohio, so I could style this piece up until May. Unfortunately. I will more than likely take the style clues from Zendaya and pair it with white pants.
A designer that Instagram introduced me to, Olivia Rose The Label, is the embodiment of class. I love that majority of the tops are covered in frills and puffy sleeves. Who doesn’t love a good Parisian influence? My skin is very dark so I imagine just how elegant this top would make me look and I’m ready to order it now. With a top this extravagant, the rest of the outfit can simple as it is the staple.
Mini bags are right on trend for now. For my spring style, I opted for a slightly bigger mini purse. I’m not a fan of the super tiny bags, I have no use for a purse that can’t hold my lighters or iPhone. This yellow leather bag is the perfect pop of color for my otherwise black closet. The price tag is the best part!
My final item is something I’m really looking forward to wearing out this spring/summer season! Strappy camis and tops in general are so on trend but I think it’s because they can go with everything and are that *one* item that can elevate a look. I love that this top reminds me of the 2000s trend (look up; Beyonce matching it with flare pants) and that we can take it and pay homage to one of the best eras in fashion. Only thing that could make me love this top more would be if it was in black.
While I couldn’t include every item that I’m digging as spring hauls are approaching, the five items above are at the top of my list! This year I’m dedicated to loving each outfit I wear and I can’t wait to style these pieces and share others I stumble across.
